Christmas Pictures

We have been crazy busy this Christmas, as I am sure the rest of you are. I just wanted to share a few pictures of our Christmas Activities. Last Saturday the primary (which consists of only about 12 kids) dressed up in the nativity costumes and sang Christmas songs for the Rest Home. Everyone who was involved had a wonderful time and it really set my kids in the Christmas spirit. They also dressed up again and sang at the ward party again that night. These pictures came from another father. (I forgot my camera imagine that.) I got them off my email and this is the best I could do.

This is Abbey the "angel" and two wise men.

This is Easton as "Joseph" and Abbey's good friend Margaret as "Mary"

The group singing to their hearts out.

More pictures of the group

Some friends of ours invited us to go get Free Santa Pictures at Bass Pro Shop in Vegas. We had some friends we needed to visit so we thought it was a great idea. We lucked out. We didn't have to wait in a line. We went on to see the huge fish tank they have and it was a huge success for my kids. Thanks Pam for the invite.

Good Citizenship

Abigail won the Good Citizenship Award from her school. She was excited. She got to eat Subway Sandwiches with the Principal and they hung her picture is up on the wall at school.

Honestly, I don't know where this picture came from. I found it on my camera with some pictures of toy dinosaurs fighting so I think I have a pretty good idea who took it:)

Who was there....

We had a really eventful Halloween! Nevada Day is on Halloween and so the kids were out of school on Friday. I love Nevada! So we made our way over to Orderville Thursday Night. My brother and sister-in-law came down from Salt Lake with my little six month old nephew (who I haven't seen since he was two months old.) So all my siblings were together, except for my brother who is on his mission, for the first Halloween in a long time. We had a great Ol' time.

The devil dog was there.

The super heroes were there.

Lots of kids and their Great Grandparents were there.

Some weird guys were there. What good sports. I love you guys.

Our "Sweet Ride" was there.Nobody was home there.

"Captain Jack" was there. (Underneath this costume is a beautiful little girl. Our little tom-boy Jani) Of course a gorilla was there! All my mom's eight grand kids were there.

And most importantly a "Little Which" was there. What a night!

Literacy Night

Wednesday Night we had a literacy Night at our elementary school. I am so impressed with our school and the emphasis that teachers put on reading. They only wanted the 1st and 3rd graders to come this particular night. I lucked out seeing how I have a 1st and 3rd grader. They encourage the kids to wear their Halloween costumes which was great to have an excuse to wear them more than once. To start off the night the music teacher lead the kids in some Halloween songs that they have been learning. Easton got to play the tambourine. Then they split off into their own classrooms. I went with Easton and Aaron went to Abbey's class. The teachers went over with the students and parents the importance of reading and we played some fun games with rhyming and exercises in helping the kids retain what they are reading. I didn't know what to expect before we left, but it turned out to be a great night. We even got refreshments after. Now that makes it well worth it :)
Easton on stage doing what he does best....entertaining the crowd. He is suppose to be Indiana Jones.

Ty, in his superman costume. He didn't have to wear a costume but I couldn't talk him out of it after he saw his brother and sister in their costumes.
Abigail posing for her dad in front of her classroom. The costume description is a Southern Belle, but I told her that she was "Little Bo Peep". She said, "Who's that." I guess I need to do better at teaching my kids the nursery rhymes.

My Mighty Deer Hunters

Guess what Aaron and Easton came home with???!!!! Yes, another deer. Actually I am proud of them. Aaron was planning on hunting another couple of days but he got his deer and was able to come home. I miss him when he leaves and I'm happy that he is back. I'm usually right there with him but I had a wedding and tons of paperwork so my boys went and had their male bonding time.

My Birthday Boy

Is my sweet boy really four? That is the question I have to keep asking myself. He is my baby! Yesterday was his birthday and we had a really great day. I made a cake....nothing fancy as you can see but I did make homemade butter cream icing that was so good! We packed everything in when the kids got home from school and got their homework done that we didn't have cake until almost bed time.

We went bowling! We went a month ago and Ty loved it so much that when I asked what he wanted to do for his birthday he said "Bowling!." His ball took so long getting to the pins that he decided to rest for awhile.

Easton is turning out to be a pretty good bowler for sure.

The pajamas and the mask are some of the presents he received.

Catching Up!

I have so many pictures, and things I haven't posted in the last two months of our crazy life. But here are our most recent photos. We have moved to Mesquite, Nevada. I am still in shock. This past weekend we went back to Kanab (home) to see our family. My kids have missed their cousins so much. I wished I would have gotten a photo of the Hoyt cousins. This photo was taken in Grandma Bonham's backyard.

Abbey, Shayden, Cooper, Easton and Tyler

Grandma Bonham has a basketball hoop for the

kids on their back patio that Easton loves.

This is my diva. Her Grandma took her to a yard sale

next door and she bought the glasses, the hat,

and the purse. Everything a girl needs right?

This is our backyard in Mesquite. Aaron took

pictures of the kids right before we went to church.

We have met some really nice friends in our ward.

After church they came in their oversized golf cart

to give the kids a ride.

Campin', Fishin', Hikin' & Nate

As you can see we went fishing again! For anyone who knows my husband that is not a big suprise. We also went camping by Pine Lake and hiking to Powell Point (I highly recommend that! Just don't do it with children.)

Aaron, Wes, Easton, Shayden and Tyler with their catch.

Tyler and his favorite toy.

Aaron and Easton on Powell Point. Look at what a drop off there is. Easton is upset in this pic because we had to get after him about getting too close.

"It's too far"

"I'm too tired!"

This is why I do not recommend taking children on this hike! Ahhhh! This is Abbey and Macie, her best friend.

Can anyone guess who this might be!!???

4th of July

To an outsider looking in a 4th of July in Orderville might appear a little too mild to some, but I loved it growing up and I love going there now on this particular holiday. Every year our family does a float in the parade. Now mind you, parades in Orderville are a little different, there is only about 14 or so floats and that is including the big fire truck and a couple of four wheelers but hey it is a parade. My kids love to ride on a float and this year our float won first prize! Not much competition but we were excited!

Uncle Marv and Abbey

What can I say....I tried!

Chilling Out In Mesquite

We decided we needed to go where it was cool so we made our way down to Mesquite (Not!) But thanks to the free lodgings with an excellent central air system, and the free swimming it is a very convenient way to cool down.

Easton doesn't waste any time, he swims like a fish!

Ty, on the other hand, spends more time out of the water than in the water.

My little snorkel princess!
